Murray R. Koonz passed away on Thursday March 16th 2007.

He was a founding member of our fire department.  In addition he was a life member of the historical society and former member of the Historic District Commission. During his life served as president and member of the board of education and the community center as well as a Cub Scout master and member of the Boy Scout committee. He belonged to the Rotary Club in Blairstown.

The service he provided to our town, neighbors and difference he made to our lives will never be forgotten.
